A few days ago, for the first time since 1782, the central panel of this organ (built by Giannino Biancucci in 1529, completed by Carlo Sabadini in 1536, played by Frescobaldi in August 1641 and enlarged by Pietro Agati in 1765) was tried on its original place. The inside of the organ (windchest and pipes) and the central panel had been sold in 1782 and bought back by the Cathedral of Pistoia few months ago. The organ is now under restoration and will be ready before next Christmas.
